The Community Sandbox has moved.
Instead of offering free sand for the public at community centres across the city, sand will now be provided at the five Roadway Maintenance yards. By putting them in front of the yards, the resources to fill them will be minimal.
Sand is available in front of the entrances of the following yards:
Central: 10517 – 95 Street
Northeast: 13003 – 56 Street
Northwest: 14320 – 114 Avenue
By having sand in all the districts across the City, we are still making sure that it is available to those who need it, no matter where they live. Citizens can also visit a retailer to purchase an inexpensive bag of sand.
Please spread the word!
Delwood Hall Renovations
We are having a Special General Meeting on September 28, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. Coffee and donuts will be served. We are asking all Delwood Community Members over 18 years of age to attend.
Memberships will be available to purchase at the meeting.
The Special General Meeting is to discuss our options for the hall and then to make a decision by majority vote. As with all General Meetings we require Quorum to hold a vote.
This is a big decision that will affect the Community for years to come. This decision must be made by the General Membership of Delwood and not the Executive Board.
So please come to the Special General Meeting on Wednesday, September 28, 2016.

ATTENTION : Calling Out To All Delwood Residents
Delwood needs your attendance!
We must have quorum at the Annual General Meeting to be able to proceed with running the community. If we do not get quorum then we cannot conduct the business of the community, including electing a new Executive Board and running the many programs that you enjoy — for example soccer, youth programs, Fall Festival and the running of the ice rink etc.
Any Delwood resident, with a current community membership qualifies as a voting member. Memberships will be available at the meeting. This is your chance to have a vote on what happens within your community and to find out what the community is planning for the following year. You DO NOT have to volunteer at the meeting, but your community league needs your attendance and please bring your neighbours with you.
The Hall Renovation committee has been making progress throughout this year and will have important decisions to report, as well as decisions that need to be voted on before we move towards the actual renovations.
Due to some dedicated Delwood residents we have been able to fill most of the positions on the executive board. We have two important vacancies on the Board – Fundraising Director and Programs Director. We also have 2 of our executives doing double duty and fulfilling two positions each. So please consider giving the community some of your time by volunteering for the Executive Board or for one of our many events. If you have any questions about the Executive Board positions please contact Greg at firstname.lastname@example.org or (780) 472-7864.
